In 1989 when the city of Grinnell looked for someone to provide paramedic level service they turned to Midwest Ambulance Service of Iowa. With determination to provide total quality service for a community in need, Midwest Ambulance Service of Iowa opened operations in Grinnell. Since 1989 Midwest Ambulance Service has provided 911 paramedic level service not only to Grinnell but to Powashiek county as well.
Service is important to Midwest Ambulance Service of Iowa. With that in mind we set up continuing education to be held at the local Fire Department in Grinnell each month as well as providing community service in many other ways. We live and work by the motto "people serving people, professionals serving professionals."
